LYNN 'JULIAN' A.K.A.
Cookie 'Cutter Girl' Reviews
"Cookie Cutter Girl" CD
Review by Edward Horton
for NoMaSoNHa Magazine
"This album has great production with harmonically
balanced musical arrangements. The songs contain heartfelt and inspirational
lyrics, wrapped in a
beautiful voice. Identifiable influences resembling Natalie Merchant, Shania Twain and INXS are
audibly present throughout. All in all "Cookie Cutter Girl" is tastefully sweet with a bit of spice, and an occasional dash of humor, achieving a delicious recipe...I strongly recommend experiencing Cookie Cutter Girl in a relaxing atmosphere in it's entirety."
"Now, *this* girl can SING!"
"One of a kind... Made for TV...
COOKIE CUTTER GIRL!
Unusual and complex... bold and individual, your songs tackle subjects that we (women) are all aware of, but perhaps don't want
to discuss ... YOU can be our voice instead! I could imagine some other current, popular female acts covering "Jenny" too, (Liz Phair, The Donnas), since it tells a controversial, yet engaging story!"

Lynn “Julian” is on a successful
won’t stop fighting until she has accomplished her goal.
This is total dedication, commitment and a belief in oneself
that is strong enough to make those dreams and goals
an actual reality. Julian has developed her own sound,
image and creative outlook and taken it to the max and
run with it. She has the spirit and guts to do what she has to do
to be visible and not forgotten. These are qualities of success.

Music lovers who want a slice
of real life in their listening experience will be interested in Cookie Cutter
This is not folk music, but the rawness of the lyrics
certainly puts this CD in the same neighborhood as the
early folk artists dedicated to capturing "what’s real."

"Received your pictures and both
my wife and I were
VERY impressed. She actually commented that you were "hot," which made me feel a little uncomfortable - *sigh* She's right, you'll be very easy to translate into comic mode. You look a LOT like how DC comics has been drawing Wonder Woman over the last few years." Reece Friesen, Aspire Comic Book Art
"Just really good songs with strong stories and genuine lyricism. Turnin Blue a song about urban legends has a cool bluesy feel
with an interesting story thread that brings you back to the track over and over again. The strongest track is The Terminal Diner
with a gutsy voice, strong lyrics and a haunting feeling.
Julian has a vocal quality that captures the song perfectly
and by itself justifies the price of this EP."
Denis Bernicky, Comedy-gags-jokes
"You're a very clever and creative
Wish more writers were as inventive as you!"
